Ann T. Shave

Colonie- Ann T. Shave, 78, died on February 20, 2019, in Hospice care at Ellis Hospital after a long illness.

Ann was born December 30, 1940 in Albany, NY. Ann is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Daniel R. Shave. She was a devoted Mother to her predeceased son, Thomas J. Fissette and was a loving grandmother to Michael Fissette (Emily). Ann was the beloved daughter of the late Kenneth J. Johnson and Rita J. Johnson. Ann leaves behind her dear sisters; June and (Paul) Dunkerley; Mary and (Paul) Long; Catherine (Kate) and (Howard) Mangum; and sister in law, Louise Shave.

Ann had many beloved nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Ann made many friends throughout her life and enjoyed making and sending cards to shut ins. She was an avid craftswoman and wonderful cook. Ann retired from Teal, Becker and Chiaramonte. She was a bookkeeper and thoroughly enjoyed working with numbers and her place of employment. Ann was a faithful Christian and loved God with her whole heart.


Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 Karner Road, Colonie, NY 12205, on Sunday, February 24, 2019, from 2:00pm-4:00pm. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, February 25, 2019, followed by internment at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Colonie, NY.
