ALBANY – Ann M. Touhey, 80, of Albany, passed away on Wednesday, May 03, 2006. Mrs. Touhey was born in Kearney, New Jersey and was the daughter of the late Charles and Grace Vonderborn. She was an Albany resident for most of her life. Mrs. Touhey was a parishioner of St. Catherine of Siena Church and was a devout Catholic. She made frequent personal pilgrimages to the Blessed Kateri Tekawitha Shrine. Ann enjoyed collecting antiques and participated in flea markets and antique shows with her husband. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family. Ann was the beloved wife of William F. Touhey for 55 years, until his passing in 2002. She is the cherished mother of Cecelia Hufland of Agawam, MA, Theresa Hans and her husband, John, Martin Touhey and his wife, Michele, all of Albany and Vincent Touhey and his wife, Joanne of Guilderland. Ann is the cherished grandmother of Christopher Hans and his wife, Donna, Sarah Santucci and her husband, Sean, Martin Christopher Touhey, Matthew Hans, Lauren Touhey, Melissa Touhey, Brian Touhey and Katlyn Touhey. She is the great-grandmother of Brianna and Kayla Santucci and Korey Millett Hans and Dana Millett Hans. She is the sister of Ellen Post of Canajoharie, Rose Baeurle of Herkimer, Alice Collins of Palatine Bridge and the late Elizabeth Conrad and Lucille Bartlett. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews and her special friend, Uncle John Santucci of Springfield, MA.
Funeral services will be Saturday morning at 8:00 at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave.) then to St. Catherine of Siena Church at 9:00 a.m. where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Calling hours will be Friday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions would be appreciated to the Blessed Kateri Tekawitha Shrine, 136 Shrine Rd., Auriesville, NY 12016 or St. Peter's Hospital Foundation, 315 South Manning Boulevard, Albany, NY 12208 in memory of Ann M.
