Clarksville- Anna A. Kohler, 98, passed away on Monday, September 25, 2006 at home surrounded by her loving family and friends. Born in Mexico, NY she was the daughter of the late Harrison and Cleo Holcomb. Anna had a passion for gardening, her flowers, and feeding the birds. She enjoyed reading, and especially spending time with her family and friends. She is predeceased by her beloved husband of 41 years Edward E. Kohler and her two brothers Harrison Holcomb, Jr. and Carlton Holcomb. The family would like to pay a special tribute to Patricia Myers, who was a devoted friend to Anna for many years, and also to a dear and special niece Margaret "Tippy" Rivers for their care and support.
Anna is survived by her five children, Edward R. Kohler, Jr. of Troy, James Kohler, Sr. (Donna) of Lewis, NY, Peggy Crawford (Ernest) of Westerlo, George R. Kohler (Clara) of Richmond, VA., William Kohler (Evelyn) of Wynantskill, 40 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 10 great great-grandchildren. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10:00 AM at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave.). Calling hours will be held on Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Selkirk. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Onesquethaw Volunteer Ambulance, PO Box E,Clarksville, N.Y. 12041, in memory of Anna A. Kohler.
