Anna Burke

ORLANDO, FL – Anna (Ann) M. Burke, 72, of Orlando, FL, passed away on Tuesday, May 29, 2007 at home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Troy, NY and lived in the Albany area for most of her life. Ann worked for Traveler's Insurance Co. for 18 years, before her retirement in 1993 when she moved to Florida. Ann is the beloved wife of 53 years to William F. Burke. She is the devoted mother of Michael (Mary) Burke of Colonie, Nancy (Larry) Salsburg of Orlando, FL, John Burke of Honolulu, HI and Jerry (Adele) Burke of Orlando, FL. She is the cherished grandmother of Shane, Shawna, Noah, Christopher, Michelle, Michael, Ann Marie, Lisa Marie and Alyssa. Also surviving are three great-grandchildren. Ann was predeceased by her sister, Rose Martin. The family would like to thank Sydney and the nurses of hospice for the care and support they gave to Ann and her family during this difficult time.
Funeral services will be Monday morning at 8:45 at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave.) then to Our Lady of Mercy Church, Colonie at 9:30 a.m. where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Calling hours will be Sunday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Memory's Garden. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Comforter, 480 W.
