Anna D. Carden

Anna D. (Ferrell) Carden, 76, entered into eternal rest Friday, October 29, 2021.Anna was born September 27, 1945 to the late Fletcher and Alberta Ferrell in Halifax Co. VA.

Anna was a member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church under Rev. Robert Bradley for many years.

Anna worked at Albany Medical Center Hospital for many years leaving there to work for the New State Department of Corrections where she retired after 22 years of service.

Anna married the late Jack E. Carden and from that union six children were born. She leaves to cherish her memory: three children; Gary, Lawrence and Jacqueline Carden all of Albany, NY; two sisters: Mary Terry and Edmonia Adams of Morrisville, NC; two brothers; Alfred Ferrell of Jacksonville, NC and Andrew Ferrell of Clover, VA; a special niece Minnie Wylie; ten grandchildren; Keiona Carden, Deanna Carden, Jarel Carden, Jaquan Carden, LaQueesha Carden, Monnell Carden, Lawrence Carden Jr., Jai'quan Brown, JaKarah Brown and Samaria Ross; 13 great- grandchildren; one very special daughter in-law, Jacqueline Carden and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Anna was preceded in death by her son Jerome Carden; two daughters; Lisa and Minnie Carden, three brothers; Fletcher Ferrell Jr, John Ferrell and Lawrence Ferrell.

A going home celebration for Anna will be held at The Lord's House of Deliverance Baptist Church, 298 Saint Agnes Highway, Cohoes, NY 12047 with Rev. Kimberly C. Hall Officiating on Monday November 8, 2021 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am with a funeral service at 11:00 am. Burial will follow the service at Graceland Cemetery, 680 Delaware Ave, Albany, NY 12209.
