ALBANY – Anna M. Gareau, 52, passed away on Monday, September 11, 2006 at the Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital surrounded by her loving family.
Anna was born on September 15, 1953 in Bernalda, Italy and is the daughter of Vita Orlandino Molinari and the late Anthony Molinari. She was a graduate of Hudson Valley Community College.
"Miss Anna" ran the preschool program at Blessed Sacrament School in Albany for the past 17 years. She devoted her life to educating children. She loved working in her garden, collecting angels, horses and music.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her loving husband, Stephen A. Gareau; her cherished daughters, Karla and Gabrielle Gareau, her sister, Josephine (Carmen) Laviano; her brother, John (Chris) Molinari; several nieces and nephews and many friends.
Funeral services will be held 9:30 a.m. Thursday at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home 343 New Karner Road, Colonie (Rt. 155 – south of Central Ave.) then to Blessed Sacrament Church 609 Central Ave. Albany, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice of Albany 445 New Karner Road, Albany, NY 12205 in memory of Anna M. Gareau.
