ALBANY, NY – Anna M. Monegan, 88, formerly of Maspeth, NY, passed away on Tuesday, December 11, 2007 at St. Peter's Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. Ann, along with her late husband, George, owned Maspeth Seafood for over 50 years. Ann was an avid bowler and bowled in a league until she was 84. She also enjoyed crocheting. She is the devoted mother of Georgann Mullarkey of Slingerlands, Thomas (Joyce) Monegan of Wildwood, MO and the late Linda Baktis. She is the cherished grandmother of Christopher (Missie) Mullarkey, Thomas Mullarkey, Erin (Tony) Schepisi, Jennifer (Chad) Adams, Laura (Jim) Haran, Christopher (Tracy) Baktis, Stephanie Baktis and the late Alexander Baktis. She is the great-grandmother of Eilish and Rory Mullarkey and Anthony, Jr. and Emma Schepisi. Also surviving is her loving son-in-law, Alexander Baktis of Valley Stream, NY as well as several nieces and nephews. Ann was predeceased by two sisters and three brothers.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday from 11:00 to 1:00 at the Moore Funeral Home in Valley Stream, NY. Interment will follow in St. John's Untied Methodist Cemetery in Valley Stream, NY. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 260 Osborne Rd., Loudonville, NY 12211 or the American Diabetes Association, 7 Washington Square, Albany, NY 12205 in memory of Anna M. Monegan.
