Albany, NY -Olmsted, Anna E. (Morehouse), 82, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at St Peter's Nursing and Rehab Center.
2 Timothy 1:12 "for I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day"
Born on October 13, 1940, she was the daughter of the late William and Hester Morehouse. Anna grew up in Coeymans Hollow and was a graduate of Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk Central High School. She went on to attend Mohawk Valley Community College and Hudson Valley Community College. She retired as a dedicated employee of 21 years from the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles where she was a Keyboard Specialist and Administrative Secretary.
Some of her many interests were birdwatching, children's art, gardening, church activities, attending flea markets, baking, arts and crafts, along with creative writing. Anna played the trumpet in the Delmar Community Orchestra and the Albany Senior Citizens Orchestra. She also enjoyed watching the Buffalo Bills, golf and Jimmy Swaggart.
Anna felt blessed in her life and she would pass on her blessing to those in need and to the many charities, she helped. Not an animal went hungry in Anna's yard. They would all gather and partake in the goodies Anna would provide. She enjoyed the company of her family, friends and pets. Anna never forgot her relatives and friends when it came to birthdays and holidays.
She is survived by her siblings, William (late Mary Ann) Morehouse of West Coxsackie, Jo Mary (Dennis) Dragon of Selkirk, Paul (Jacqueline) Morehouse of Ballston Lake and Nancy (Louis) Barrios of Sabastian Fl. Anna will be lovingly remembered by her family, especially her many nieces and nephews.
Anna was predeceased by her longtime companion Frank Henderson
Anna's family would like to extend their heart felt "Thank You" to all family members, friends and health care providers for the wonderful care, support and compassion they gave to Anna.
