Anna M. Williams-Hilbert, 104, departed this life on Sunday, March 5, 2017, to answer the call of Our Heavenly Father and journeyed home to her eternal resting place. Anna was born on February 27, 1913 in Aiken, South Carolina to the late Gideon Williams and Diana Harris.
Anna's family relocated to NYC, where she received her education at Clare Barton High School. She was employed for 30 years at Laundry Dry Cleaning Worker & Allied Company. Anna had a strong faith in God. She attended Deliverance Evangelistic Center where she was an usher and Eastern Star since 1960. She was also a member of The Walter S. Pinn Foundation.
Anna made a life for herself in Brooklyn, NY, where she met and married Moses Hilbert on June 24, 1934. They went on to have six children, Elise Myers, Diane Steward, Moses Hilbert, Jr., Donald Hilbert, Bernard Hilbert and Steven Hilbert. They also have seven grandchildren, Beverly Hamlor, Chantal Pettigrew, Drake Hilbert, Andre Hilbert, Stephanie Hilbert, Quinn Steward and Deneen Steward; fourteen great grandchildren, Keosha Hamlor, Anthony Hamlor, Jermanie Young, Jr., Jumafe Young, Chanta Young, Johnae Nelson, Cierra Hilbert, Tatiana Hilbert, Andre Hilbert, Jr., Ashani Mosley, Paige Peters, Dresyn Hilbert, Kaleen Hunter and Andreya Hilbert.
Anna was predeceased by siblings, Mattie Brown, Mamie Davis, Elise Washington, Juanita Lane, Otis Williams, Arthur J. Williams and Eldert Williams. She is also predeceased by her all of her loving children.
