COLONIE-Anne A. Hainer, 91, passed away on Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at St. Peter's Hospital after a brief illness. She was born in Albany, NY the daughter of the late Carmen and Maria (Dillio) Riccardo and was a lifelong resident of Albany. She graduated from Colonie High School and was a switchboard operator for Orange Motors in Albany. Anne was a communicant of Christ Our Light Church, member of the American Legion Auxiliary, and St. Francis De Sales Senior Citizens Club. She was an avid golfer at Colonie Golf Club, where she often volunteered. Anne also played Bocce ball at the West Albany IBS Club up until her recent illness.
Anne is survived by her brother Thomas "Curley" Riccardo of Albany; special nephew and niece Roger and Patty Hainer of Chapmanville, WV; many nieces and nephews and friends.
In addition to her parents, Anne was predeceased by her husband Charles B. Hainer; her sisters Kate, Helen and Joanne and by her brothers Dick, Joe, Vito and Peter.
Calling hours will be held from 3 to 5 PM on Sunday, July 21, 2013 at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, July 22, 2013 at Christ Our Light Church, 1 Maria Drive, Loudonville.
Interment will be at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie.
