Albany – Anne D. Carey (Hinners), 63, died suddenly Wednesday January 23, 2008 at St. Peter's Hospital.
Anne was born in Albany, the daughter of the late Jacob and Alice (Distell) Carey. She graduated from Mercy High School was a proud lifelong Albany resident. Anne was a devoted mother and grandmother and a great friend to many. She was also very proud of her Irish heritage and enjoyed the St. Patrick's Day parade every year.
She is survived by her children; Maria (Michael) Comisac, Michelle Hinners, Joseph Hinners (fiance Mia Frank), Nancy-Ellen Hinners (fiance Scott Newsome), her four grandsons; Zakahry, Michael and Nicholas Comisac and Joseph Hinners, her brother Michael (Christine) Carey, her niece Lynne Deno and her nephew Mathew Carey. Also surviving are her lifelong friends Nancy Pierce and Sylvia DesJardins and her cat "Kato". Anne was predeceased by her son T. Jacob Hinners.
Funeral services will be 8:30am Saturday from New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie (rt. 155 south of Central Ave.) then to Historic Church of St. Mary on Capital Hill for a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30am.
