Albany – Anne J. Sazynski, 83, passed away Thursday June 10, 2010 after a brief illness.
She was born in Albany the daughter of the late Mary Jane (McParland) and Francis McGahay and was a lifelong area resident. Anne worked for New York State Department of Motor Vehicles as a Principal Clerk for fifteen years, retiring in 1983. She was married to the late Edward J. Sazynski, Sr. for 62 years. In addition to her husband Anne was predeceased by her daughters Marguerite Gilligan and Helene Hickey, her 6 sisters and 4 brothers.
Anne is survived by her children: Maryanne (Michael) Fisher of Eustis, FL, Joseph Gilligan of Colonie, Frank Hickey of Albany and Edward Sazynski, Jr. of Menands, 7 grandchildren: Joseph Gilligan, Shawn Gilligan, Andrew Gilligan, Kyle Coyle, Anthony Hickey, Sharon Sequeira and Heather Sazynksi, 4 great-grandchildren: Andrew Gilligan, Jr., Adam Fazzone, Lyndsey Coyle and James Michael Coyle, nieces and nephews: Peter Sabott, Michael Mogul, Patricia Mogul-Garhartt, Olivia Mogul as well as several others.
Calling hours will be held Sunday 2:00 to 4:30pm at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
