GUILDERLAND –Anne K. Lemerise, 89, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, November 2nd at Our Lady of Mercy Life Center.
Anne was born in Albany, a daughter of the late Edward and Anna Klopfer. Anne had a long retail sales career starting at P & B Variety Store in Albany. She was a manager at Susan Ives and worked at Schatz and Carlton Cards. Anne was a fantastic cook and baker, for a German, she made a great sauce. She was a communicant of St. John's Lutheran Church, where she also taught Sunday school. Anne enjoyed long motorcycle rides to Lake George with her husband. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and loved her cats, especially Caesar.
Anne was predeceased by her beloved husband of 32 years, Robert O. Lemerise; daughter, Cheryl Sue Combs; sister, Ruth Kerton; and a brother, George (Dickie) Klopfer.
Survivors include her devoted children, Robert Oliver Lemerise, Jr. and his wife Anne Marie, Ruth Moretz and her husband Robert, Rebecca Waldenmaier and her husband George and Edward J. Lemerise; adoring grandchildren, Shawn, Mark, Jennifer, Robert, Robert D. (Rowdy), Karl, Mark and Naomi; 12 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the staff at Our Lady of Mercy Life Center for the compassionate care shown to Anne during her stay.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, November 11, 2011 at 12 PM at the New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. (Rt. 155 south of Central Ave.). Interment to follow in Memory Gardens, Colonie.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, Friday morning from 10 AM to 12 PM.
