Anne M. Handerhan

Anne "Nancy" Handerhan, 79, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 25, 2011 at the Community Hospice Inn at St. Peter's. Nancy was born in Albany to the late Frank and Anne Handerhan. Nancy worked for NYS Department of taxation and finance for over 28 years where she retired in 1995. Nancy enjoyed spending time with her family, her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her 3 brothers, Paul, Jack and Don.
Nancy is survived by her beloved children; William (Marian) Mielke, Linday (Dale) Wilsey, Patricia (Randy) Goldberg, Barbara Mielke, MaryBeth (Lou) Giampaglia, Robert (Kim) Mielke and Christopher (Sue) Mielke; her cherished grandchildren, Geoffrey, Patrick, Lauren, Thomas, Kenny, Jessica, Laura, Grace, Anna, Joy and Audrey; her adored great-grandchildren, Jorden and Riley; she was the sister-in-law to, Carol and Lynn Handerhan; also surviving are many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 8:30am at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie, then to All Saints Catholic Church,(former St. Margaret Mary) corner of Western Avenue and Homestead St., Albany, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30am. Calling hours will be Monday from 4 to 8 at the funeral home. Interment will follow the Mass at St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.
