ALBANY_Anne M. (Davis) Strycharz , 88, passed away on September 16, 2015 surrounded by her family at Albany Medical Center.
She was born on August 25, 1927 daughter of the late Thomas and Grace (Buckley) Davis.
Anne lived in Albany throughout her life. She graduated from Vincentian Institute, class of 1945. On July 8, 1950, she married Edward J. Strycharz who predeceased her in 1983. Together they raised their family in North Albany. Anne worked as a Secretary for Sacred Heart Church in North Albany. Anne was a devoted wife and mother. She enjoyed yearly vacations on Cape Cod with her family.
Anne is survived by her son, Michael Strycharz , daughters, Carol (John) Ferlazzo, Diane M. Hovey, Mary Frances Strycharz, grandson, Benjamin H. Hovey, brother, John "Jack" (Doris) Davis, Punta Gorda, Fl., sister, Mary C. (Edward) O'Brien of North Albany and several nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to call on Monday, September 21, 2015 at 5:00 - 7:00 pm at New Comer Funeral Home, Colonie, New York.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Anne will be held on Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at 9:00 am at Blessed Sacrament Church.
Interment will be immediately following mass at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to the STRIDE Adaptive Sports, 476 North Greenbush Rd. Suite 9, Rensselaer, NY 12144.
