Anne P. Joachim

Colonie- Anne P. Joachim, 92, passed away on Thursday, March 23, 2006, at Bassett Hospital in Cobleskill. Born in Schenectady she was the daughter of the late Leland and Ella Finch. In May of 1966, Anne helped to establish the Colonie Village Senior Citizens Center and was Director there for 25 years until her retirement in 1991. Anne had a great love for her family and friends, especially her 4 cherished grandchildren. She is predeceased by her husband Raymond M. Joachim and her two brothers Vinton and Leland Finch.
Anne is survived by her son Raymond F. Joachim and his wife Kathleen of Denver, CO, her daughter Rowena L. Nelson and her husband Dennis of Sharon Springs, her four grandchildren, Jessie Anne and Michaela Joachim, and Alexander and Ilia Nelson and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 1:00 PM at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave.). Calling hours will be held on Saturday from 12:00 to 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be in Memory's Garden.
