Anne Marie Sickinger
January 3, 1947 — September 17, 2023
Clifton Park- Anne Marie Sickinger, 76, passed away suddenly on Sunday, September 17, 2023 at her home. She was the daughter of the late Raymond and Lillian Bissell. Anne was the devoted wife of William A. Sickinger. They were married 54 wonderful years.
After graduating from Mildred Elley Business School, Anne went on to work as a Medical Billing Clerk, most recently at Marra's Pharmacy until her retirement.
Anne was also a proud member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Waterford, New York.
Anne enjoyed family vacations to wherever a beach could be found. She loved visiting with "the goddesses" who were her longtime grade school friends. Some of her best times were spent with her grandchildren who affectionately called her "Mima", playing Uno, Pass The Pigs, and Headbandz. Anne loved spending endless hours at her grandchildren's soccer, basketball, football, baseball, dance recitals, and horse back riding events.
Anne's wicked sense of humor, her wit, and easy laughter will be missed the most. She will be remembered by all who loved her for her willingness to help, lend an ear, and support them. She wished for all of us to be happy and her love was never ending.
In addition to her husband, Anne is survived by her children, Stephanie (Paul) Salway and Kurt (Jaime) Sickinger; grandchildren, Matthew, Colin, Emily, and Molly; siblings, Ronald (the late Dorilda) Bissell and R. Gerald (the late Beverly) Bissell; several nieces, nephews, and friends.
In addition to her parents, Anne is predeceased by her brother, Robert (Marguerite) Bissell.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Rd., Watervliet, New York on Sunday September 24, 2023 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. A funeral mass will be held Monday September 25, 2023 at 10:00 am at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 119 Broad St, Waterford, NY 12188. Burial will follow the service at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Road, Schuylerville, New York 12871.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Anne's name to a charity of your choice.
