Annette C. Playford

GUILDERLAND, NY – Annette C. Playford passed away peacefully on Friday, May 2, 2008 at the age of 86. A native of Albany, Annette was born on February 19, 1922 and was the daughter of the late John and Anna Theresa O'Neil. She graduated from Albany High School and retired from New York State service in 1988. Wife of the late Leonard V. Playford, Annette is survived by her three children, Gregory (June) Playford of Slingerlands, Deborah (Anthony) Zarrelli of Guilderland and Timothy (Dawn) Playford of Reno, NV. She is also survived by her sister, Jean Martinez of Vero Beach, FL, six grandchildren, one great-grandchild and four nieces and nephews. Annette's family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the wonderful 4A staff at the Teresian House.
Calling hours will be Tuesday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Relatives and friends may gather at 9:15 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home to proceed to St. Agnes Cemetery for a 10:00 burial. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association of Northeastern NY, 85 Watervliet Ave., Albany, NY 12206 in memory of Annette C. Playford.
