Annie Lee Hawkins

November 25, 1952 — January 11, 2025

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Annie Lee Hawkins on January 11, 2025 at 11:15pm. Born in Eufaula, Alabama on November 25, 1952, Annie lived a life filled with love, strength and unwavering dedication to her family and community.

Annie retired from the Department of Motor Vehicle and previously served at the NYS Department of Children & Family Service, where her compassion and hard work made a meaningful impact on countless lives. Her professional legacy was matched only by her devotion as a mother to her five beloved children, Fredrick A. Davis, Eddie Davis Jr., Adele Davis, Laura Lucas and Lindsey Marie Lucas.

Annie’s vibrant personality and love for the outdoors were evident in her hobbies. She cherished days spent fishing by the water, jogging through nature, and cooking meals that brought her family together. Her connection to the water was profound, and she found peace and happiness near its calming presence.

In keeping with her wishes, Annie will be cremated and her ashes will be scattered into the ocean. She wanted her loved ones to remember her every time they visited the beach, feeling her love and spirit in the waves and breeze.

In accordance with Annie’s wishes, there will be no memorial service. Instead, her family encouraged loved ones to honor her memory in their own special way.

Annie’s legacy of kindness, strength, and love will forever live on in the hearts of her family and friends. Though she is no longer with us, her memory will continue to shine brightly, like the sun on the water she loved so dearly.

Rest in peace, Annie Lee Hawkins. You and deeply loved and will never be forgotten.
