Anthony (Tony) Cestaro Sr., 85, of Ballston Spa, passed away on Sunday, March 31, 2024 at home surrounded by family. He was born in Brooklyn and was the son of the late Michael and Frances (Fornaro) Cestaro.
Tony was a Navy Veteran, a graduate of HVCC, and Logistics Supervisor for the United States Property and Fiscal Office at the Division of Military and Naval Affairs. Tony was a longtime resident of Cohoes and an avid Yankee fan. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.
Tony was the beloved husband of 48 years to Elizabeth (Betty) Cestaro, who predeceased him.
He was also predeceased by his brothers, Tom, John, Michael and his sister Teresa Delgaudio.
He is the devoted father of Anna Marie "Mimi" Mosher, Patricia (Lawrence) Weaver, Anthony (Shelley) Cestaro Jr., Donna (Matthew) Gutzwiller, and Elizabeth (Marc) Nichols. He is the cherished grandfather of Nicole, Kayla, Shawn, who predeceased him, Trish (Shane), Michael, Kimberly (Nick), and Amandabeth (Michael) and great grandchildren Anthony "AJ", Dallas, Lorenzo, Anthony, Elody, MacKenzie, Michael, Mikayla, and Arianna.
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Saturday, April 13th, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie. A prayer service will immediately follow the visitation at 2:00 pm.
