COLONIE – Anthony J. Chelelli, 83, passed away on Friday, May 4, 2007 at Community Hospice at St. Peter's Hospital. He was born in Hudson and lived in Colonie for 39 years. Tony was a U.S. Army veteran serving his country during World War II. He was a truck driver for the Teamsters Local #294 for over 35 years and a member of the American Legion Joseph E. Zaloga Post #1520. Mr. Chelelli enjoyed fishing, especially deep sea fishing. Tony is the beloved husband of almost 43 years to Elizabeth J. Chelelli. He is the step-father of Larry (Carol) Hack. He is the grandfather of Larry (Tammy) and Monique (Finley). He is the great-grandfather of Paige, Maeve and Victoria. Also surviving are three sisters and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Calling hours will precede the service from 11:00 to 1:00 at the funeral home. Interment will be in Memory's Garden, Colonie. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice of Albany, 445 New Karner Rd., Albany, NY 12205 in memory of Anthony J. Chelelli.
