Anthony Salvatore Crisafulli, Sr., 88, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at the Community Hospice Inn at St. Peters, with his loving family by his side.
Anthony was the son of the late Carmelo and Pauline Crisafulli.
He was the devoted husband of over 67 years, to Shirley (Metzger) Crisafulli.
Anthony was a communicant and Eucharistic minister with St. Clares Catholic Church for many years, he was also a member of the Colonie Elks, Sons of Italy, Italian American Community Center and a member of the Plumbers & Steamfitters Local 7.
He was the co founder and past president of Crisafulli Brothers Plumbing and heating in Albany. Retiring in 1979.
He enjoyed his winters in Dania, Florida and his summers in Bolton Landing with his family. He loved to fish and boat on Lake George.
Anthony is survived by his wife, Shirley Crisafulli, his cherished children, Ann Marie (Jim) Splonskowski, Antoinette (Wayne) Chandler, June (Jack) Brennan, Judith Crisafulli and Anthony "Nino" (Ellen) Crisafulli, Jr.. He is the proud grandfather of Renee, Danielle, Jimmy, Tammy, Dawn, Ryan, Nina, Salina, Angie and Ali. He is also survived by his siblings; Mary Panniti, Carmelo (Helen) Crisafulli, Jr., Salvatore (Martha) Crisafulli and Paula (Thomas) Dorsey; and 30 great grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, May 4, 2017 at 11:00 am at St. Clares Catholic Church, 1947 Central Ave., Colonie, NY. Calling hours will precede the Mass from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at St. Clare's Church. Entombment will follow the Mass at Memory Gardens, Colonie.
The family would like to send a special thanks to Renee Chandler for all of her love and compassion given to her Poppy; to his caretakers; Emily, Laurie and Mary Alice for all of their care and to the entire staff at the Community Hospice Inn.
