Anthony J. Campigno, 79, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at the Stratton VA Medical Center in Albany. He was the son of the late Antonio & Maria Campigno. Anthony proudly served with the United States Marines Corp., in the Korean War during the Battle of the Chosin Reservoir. He enjoyed golfing and will always be remembered for his sense of humor.
Anthony is survived by his beloved wife, Helen L. Campigno; his loving children: Anthony, Susan, Lisa, Diana, Randy, and Ronald; his adored grandchildren: Donato, James, Christine, Jason, Justin, Rachel, Michael.
The family would like to thank the entire staff at the VA Hospital for all of their care and compassion given to Anthony. Memorial contributions may be made to the Stratton's Veterans Affairs Medical Center, 113 Holland Ave., Albany, NY 12208 in Anthony's memory.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at All Saints Catholic Church, Albany at 9:00 am on Monday. Calling hours will be Sunday from 2 to 5 at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie. Interment will follow the Mass at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery at 11:00 am.
