GUILDERLAND – Anthony J. LaHart, 71, passed away suddenly on Tuesday July 12, 2011 at St. Peter's Hospital.
Anthony was born on February 6, 1940 in Ausable Forks, NY and was the son of the late Clayton and Julia Ann (Blaise) LaHart. He was the maintenance superintendent for the Van Buren Apartments in Niskayuna for over 40 years.
Anthony enjoyed taking his wife Rosanne to the Wilton Mall everyday, painting, fishing and spending time with his family – especially his granddaughter, Kyla. He was a handyman who enjoyed fixing anything and who taught his son, Scott everything he knows. Since Rosanne's diagnosis of MS 14 years ago, Anthony was her primary caregiver giving his unconditional love and compassion.
Anthony is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Rosanne Sandler; his loving son, Scott A. (Meghan) LaHart; his daughters, Bonnie Zone, Toni Marie Callahan, Sharron Reynard, and Laurie Butch; his sister, Barbara Ann Wortman; his brother, Peter (Shirley) LaHart; 10 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Mabel LaHart and his brothers, Clayton "Bug" LaHart, Jr., James LaHart, and Gerald LaHart.
A memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. A calling hour will precede the service from 12 to 1 p.m.
