Anthony J. Sarbo

Anthony J. Sarbo "Tony", 72, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Oct 16, 2012 at Ellis Hospital with his loving family by his side. He was born on Oct 05, 1940 in Glens Falls, New York to the late Arthur and Catherine Sarbo. Anthony was a graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School in 1959, he proudly served with the United States Navy on the USS Embattle and the USS Epping Forrest and was an active member of the Rotterdam Elks. Anthony loved watching the NY Giants, the NY Yankees and spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife of over 52 years, Sandy (Evans) Sarbo, his children, David (Wendy) Sarbo, Debbie (David Ballmes) Cuomo and Michael (Kim) Sarbo. He was the cherished grandfather of Brittany and Meghan Sarbo, Karissa Ballmes, Mike and Gabrielle Sarbo and great grandfather of Robert C. and the love of his life Julianna. He is also survived by his brother Michael (Lee) Sarbo and his lifetime friends Victor and Barbara DePoalo and many other close family and friends.

The family would like to thank the entire ICU staff at Ellis, especially Anthony's nurse Linda for all of the care and compassion given to Anthony.

Funeral service will be Monday, Oct 22, 2012 at 9:00 am at New Comer-Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie. Burial will follow in the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National VA Cemetery, Schuylerville. The family will receive friends on Sunday, Oct 21, 2012 from 3 to 6 at New Comer-Cannon Funeral Home.
