Anthony J. Longe Ii

COLONIE- Anthony "Jay" J. Longe, II, 49, passed away unexpectedly on May 8th, 2018.


He was born on June 20th, 1968 son of the late Frank Longe and Amelia (Caraccilo) Cercone.


He is a graduate of Burnt Hills High School, Hudson Valley Community College, The College Of Saint Rose and SUNY Albany. Anthony was employed with the NYS Thruway Authority and was previously employed by the NYS Department of Transportation.


Anthony was a devoted husband and father. He was kind hearted and always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. He most cherished being with his family. He coached his children's sports teams numerous times and was proud to attend all of their events. Anthony loved his children dearly and encouraged them to follow the Lord and find their purpose in life. He was a member of the Pine Hills Beagle Club in Altamont, NY. Anthony enjoyed hunting, fishing and boating. He was handy around the house and was always excited to start new projects. His sense of humor and outgoing personality made everyone he knew love him. He will be dearly missed by his family and many friends.


Anthony is survived by his beloved wife of 23 years, Regina (Bittner) Longe; children, Joshua, Hannah, Joy and Jonathan; his father, Raymond Cercone; sister, Gail White (Monte) and family members and friends.


Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 13, 2018 from 4-7pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road., Albany, NY 12205.

A funeral service to celebrate his life will be held on Monday, May 14, 2018 at 11:00am at Grace Baptist Church, 5958 State Farm Road, Guilderland NY, 12084. Internment will be held at St. Anthony's Cemetery, Glenville NY.
