ALBANY – Anthony Mucci, Sr., 86, of Albany, passed away on Wednesday, May 17, 2006. Born in St. Giovanni, Rotundo, Foggia, Italy, he was the son of the late Patsy and Concetta Mucci. Mr. Mucci was a U. S. Army veteran, serving as a Master Sergeant during World War II. He worked for over 25 years at Capital City Container Co., and more recently for his son at Di Pa Mar Construction for over 30 years. Anthony enjoyed listening to music, especially gospel and Italian music. He was an avid gardener and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. Anthony was the beloved husband of the late Mary C. Mucci. He is the devoted father of Patsy (Joanne) Mucci of Albany, Maria (Robert) Carter of Staten Island, Concetta (Scott) Pearson of Glenville and the late Anthony Mucci, Jr. He is the loving brother of Philip Mucci, Ann Keneston, Isabel Mancini and the late Felicia Mucci. Also surviving are eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Monday morning at 10:00 at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Calling hours will be Sunday from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Park, Colonie. Expressions of sympathy may be made at newcomerfamily.com.
