SCOTIA- Anthony V. "Tony" Prian, 92, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 23, 2018.
Tony was born in the town of North Castle, New York on September 15, 1925 to the late Jose and Carmen Prian. As a child Tony spent many years living in Long Island, New York. He relocated to Upstate New York with his family when his parents purchased property in Cherry Valley. His time in Upstate New York was spent enjoying his family's dairy farm. During WWII, Tony served his country honorably and faithfully in the United States Army, Company D 507th as an Infantry Paratrooper. He was awarded the World War II Victory Ribbon, American Theater Ribbon, Europe-Africa-Middle Eastern Theater Ribbon and one Bronze Service Star. In addition to living in New York, Tony spent a number of years working in the West Coast supervising home construction for Suburbia Homes. Upon returning to New York, Tony work for over 20 years at the Schenectady General Electric facility as a class A carpenter.
Tony enjoyed his final years at the Judson Meadows living facility located in Glenville, New York.
Tony is survived by family members throughout the United States.
Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
