BALLSTON LAKE – Anthony Birbiglia (Mr. B ), 97, passed away Saturday evening at home after a brief illness. He was born in Brooklyn in 1916 and was the seventh of ten children.
Anthony served with the US Navy Seabees during WWII. He married Jean Birbiglia who has predeceased him in 1998. Anthony was employed by the Manhattan Transit Authority for many years. He worked hard to provide a good life for his family. Always willing to help anyone, you did not have to ask twice.
Anthony is survived by his daughter in law Josie Birbiglia of Ballston Lake, his son, Vinnie Birbiglia of Las Vegas, NV and his niece Lucy Birbiglia of New Mexico. He will be missed by his many friends at Malta Seniors and Wesley Evergreen Adult Day Care ("the Club"). Although he stood at 4'8'', he was a giant among men.
Services will be private. Burial will be in Calverton National Cemetery, Long Island.
