Anthony Tony Reid
September 19, 1957 — February 13, 2017
ALBANY-Anthony "Tony" Reid was called home the morning of February 13, 2017, after a courageous battle with kidney disease. Born September 19, 1957 in Syracuse, NY, to the late James Andrew and Essie Rosser Reid.
He is survived by his son Meeshan Reid, but also Meeshan's siblings, Michael, Marlon and Maya Campbell for whom Tony played a vital role in their lives.
Tony had a way of becoming one of the family to those that loved him and to those he loved in return. His infectious laugh, cheerful smile and big warm hugs will forever be missed by the lives he touched. Tony had a courageous and loving heart of gold. He always found a way to make you look at the bright side of any situation.
His contagious laugh, and his fatherly warm love, will forever be missed by the lives he touched.
Visitation will be held on Monday, Feb. 20, 2017 from 5-7pm at New Comer Funerals & Cremations, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie. A Home Going Celebration will be held at 11am, Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2017 at Metropolitan Baptist Church, 105 2nd St, Albany, NY 12210. Visitation at Metropolitan Baptist Church will be held from 10-11am Tuesday prior to services.
