Antoinette J. Wunsch

COLONIE – Antoinette J. "Ann" Wunsch, 82, passed away on Sunday, April 15, 2012, at St. Peter's Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, with her loving family by her side. Born in Albany, she was the daughter of the late Augustine and Josephine DiNovo. Ann was a lifelong Colonie resident. She was a life member of the VFW Post #8692 Ladies Auxiliary and a communicant of Christ Our Light Catholic Church. Ann enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family.

She is the beloved wife of fifty-six years to Conrad E. Wunsch. Ann is the devoted mother of Edward C. (Patty) Wunsch, Sr. of Colonie and the late Janet Wunsch. She is the loving sister of Josephine Giuffre, Eva Bogardus and the late Nick, Pete, Gus, Joe, Phil, Dorothy and Mary. Ann is the cherished grandmother of Edward Jr. (Tammy), Steve, Jennifer (Jenn) and Kristen Wunsch and Michael and Anthony Abbate. Also surviving is her great-granddaughter, Scarlett Jade and several nieces and nephews.


Funeral services will be Friday at 9:45 a.m. at New Comer Cannon Funeral home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave.) then to Christ Our Light Catholic Church at 10:30 a.m. where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Calling hours will be Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie.
