Antoinette Weekes

SCHENECTADY – Antoinette Weekes, 89 passed away on Sunday, September 29, 2013 with her family by her side. Born in Bristol, Rhode Island, she was the daughter of the late Francesco and Maria Maurana and beloved wife of the late Merlin H. Weekes. Antoinette resided in Schenectady for most of her life. She was a member of the VFW Post #8692 Ladies Auxiliary and enjoyed playing cards and bingo.


Antoinette is the devoted mother of Ray Weekes, Jim (Jenny) Weekes, Carol (Ivan) Dutcher and Lucille DeMassio. She is the cherished grandmother of Nicholas Weekes, Tina Weekes, Linda (Kevin) Hulett, Debbie Ebert, David Dutcher, Stephen (Danielle) DeMassio and Richard (Jamie) DeMassio. Antoinette is the loving sister of Gloria (Jerry) Miller. Also surviving are several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her brothers Sam, Angelo, Joseph and Michael Maurana.


A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Calling hours will precede the service from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Church of the Nazarene, 2535 Consaul Rd., Schenectady, NY 12304 in memory of Antoinette Weekes.
