COLONIE – Antonetta Moran, 80, passed away on Saturday, December 4, 2010 at the Teresian House in Albany, surrounded by her loving family.
Antonetta was born on December 18, 1929 in Albany and was the daughter of the late Rocco and Pompea (Mele) Scaligeri. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a member of the Polish American Community Center, St. Francis de Sales Senior Citizens, and Christ Our Light Catholic Church (formerly St. Francis de Sales Church). She enjoyed baking and cooking.
Antonetta is survived by her sons, Michael D. (Lois) Moran, Mark M. Moran; her daughters, Karen A. (Mike) Pilon, Deborah M. DelTorto, and Maureen M. Moran; her grandchildren, Jennifer Moran, Michael (Jessica) Moran, James Moran, Maribeth (Mike) Wallace, and Thomas DelTorto; her great-grandchildren, Brandon Wallace and Michael Moran; her sister, Sue Ogborn and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, John J. Moran; her brother, Tommy Scaligeri and her sister, Frances Parvana.
The family would like to express their sincere thank you to the Carmel Gardens staff at the Teresian House for the care and support given to Antonetta.
Funeral services will be 8:45 a.m. Tuesday at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie then to Christ Our Light Catholic Church, 1 Maria Drive, Loudonville where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens in Colonie. Calling hours will be Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
