COLONIE – Antonia Berak, 91, passed away on Tuesday, November 1, 2011 at Daughters of Sarah Nursing Home.
Antonia was born on December 21, 1919 in Sezana, Italy (Slovenia) and was the daughter of the late Giovanni and Emma (Mose) Urbas. She moved as a young woman with her husband and family to the Boston area.
Antonia loved most of all to be a wife, mother, and a homemaker. She also loved her craft as a seamstress, at first, then a tailor for Kennedy's and then Brooks Brothers clothing stores.
Antonia was predeceased by her husband of 64 years, Raffaele, who died on January 7, 2006. She is survived by her two beloved sons, Franco and Guido; her cherished grandchildren, Thomas, Stephanie, Paul, and Christine; and several great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. Interment will be at Memory Gardens in Colonie.
