SCHENECTADY - Arien P. Maher, 39, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 6, 2018 at his residence.
Arien was born in Albany and is the beloved son of Patrick W. Maher of Saratoga Springs and Laura J. (Goldberg) Kurowski of Pittsfield, Mass. Arien is also survived by his cherished son, Dylan R. Maher and his mother, Brooke Thornton, both of Rotterdam; his brother, Noel J. Goldberg of Albany; his sister, Carmine Molina; his long time partner and woman he loved and who loved him deeply, Kelsey Kopczynski of Schenectady along with their little dog, Dori. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends.
He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Lois and Harry Goldberg and his paternal grandparents, Geraldine and William Maher.
Arien worked at Applebee's in various locations throughout the Capital District and recently received a pin for many years of service and dedication. He had worked previously at Stone Management. He was also well-known in the hip hop and rap community and was co-host of the Capital Coup out of SUNY Albany 90.9 WCDB. He will be missed by the many many followers he had there.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
