Arkeyva Shantel Davis, 34, of Albany, NY, passed away on September 28, 2019, unexpectedly.

Arkeyva is survived by her mother, Cathy Davis; one daughter, Zyaira Sanai Davis; one brother, Anthony Jones; two sisters, Davena and Desiree Shuman; three God-Sisters, Khadijah Chaney, Ja-niyah and Jay-yannah Bostic; a God-Father, Pastor Michael Williams; and her Grandmother, Lenora Bates.

She was predeceased by her Father, Jeremiah Faircloth; her loving brother, Darius Davis; her aunt, Brenda Faircloth; her Grandmother, "Gram" Thelma Davis; fraternal Grandmother, Mittie Faircloth; and her Aunt, Zhelma David.

Arkeyva was born in Kingston, NY, on September 15, 1985 to Jeremiah Faircloth and Cathy Davis, where she attended public schools for a short period of time. In 1990, Keyva relocated to Albany, NY with her mother. At a very young age, she was very welcoming to her mother taking in many foster children; received a 2nd Degree Black Belt in Taekwondo; wrote a song titled, "God Will Make a Way." During that time, she taught herself how to play the keyboard & drums. She was on the Praised Dance Team at Faith Hope and Charity, which was also called The Children's Church, under the leading Pastor Lenora Bates. On May 24, 2006, she welcomed her beautiful daughter, Zyaira "Zy" "Chocolate" Davis into her life.

Keyva was an outgoing young person. She had a favorite quote and saying that she made sure everyone around her knew, "I LOVE YOU." Keyva enjoyed going to her cousin's basketball games, hanging out with family and friends, shopping, and making others around her smile. If you couldn't count on anything else, you could count on her saying that she loved you and really meaning it. Keyva made an impression on everyone that she knew.

Keyva will be missed by a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and many friends.
