NISKAYUNA – Arlene C. Benaquista, entered into eternal life at her winter home located in Seabrook Island, South Carolina on Friday, April 22, 2005 after a long illness. Arlene was the owner and president of Reale's Jewelry Store on Foster Avenue in Schenectady for over 30 years. She was predeceased by her parents, Helen and James Cheunes and her sister, Jean Campbell. Arlene is survived by her sister, Noreen Blaise, her brother, James (Fran) Cheunes, a son, A. Paul Benaquista, his brother Emerick M. Benaquista, as well as her beloved nieces, nephews, grandchildren and wonderful friends.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday morning at 9:00 a.m. at St. Anthony's Church, 331 Seward Place, Schenectady. Calling hours will be Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Interment will be in Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna. Her beloved friends hosted a mass and reception on April 26, 2005 in Seabrook Island, SC in honor of Arlene's life. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions will be accepted in her memory to the Daughters of Charity Most Precious Blood, 955 Balltown Rd., Niskayuna, NY 12309.
