GUILDERLAND – Arlene C. Leto, 73, passed away on Wednesday, July 16, 2008 at her home, surrounded by her loving family.
Arlene was born on January 14, 1935 in Albany and was the daughter of the late Robert and Catherine (Pennefeather) Lennon and Leo Lynch. She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Arlene is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Richard R. Leto Sr.; her children, Colleen Parker (John Little), Richard R. (Debbie) Leto Jr., Arlene M. (Tim) Lagace and Robert J. (Kate) Leto; her grandchildren, Kelly, Kevin and Katelyn Parker, Abigail Leto, Julie and Andy Arango, Jared and Alex Paigo, and Cassidy, Mason and Genevieve Leto; her brother, Edward (Nancy) Lynch; her sisters-in-law, Janet Boni and Vikki Leto; her brother-in-law, Neil Luther and several nieces, nephews and other relatives. She is also survived by her close friends, Marie Dietz, Lois Nolan, Elaine Keenan and Barbara Maio.
A special thank you to Janet Boni for all the love, laughter and compassion given to Arlene and to our family in our time of need. We are eternally grateful. The family would also like to thank Dr. Rufus Collea and his staff as well as Community Hospice of Albany and Neil Brosnan for their care and compassion given to Arlene.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday at 11 a.m. at Christ the King Church, 20 Sumpter Avenue, Guilderland. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Glenmont. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at New Comer-Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave.).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice of Albany, 445 New Karner Road, Albany, NY 12205 in memory of Arlene C. Leto.
