Armando L. Vasquez

Schenectady- Armando L. Vasquez, 62, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 28th, 2021 with his loving family by his side. Armando was the son of Iris Rivera and the late Enrique Vasquez. He was the devoted husband to Iris Vasquez and were married 34 years.

Armando was a very kind hearted soul. He lit up any room that he entered and entertained everyone with his story telling. He was a Navy vet and served his country proud. Armando was a very hard worker and with his life experiences became a jack of many trades. Though a handful till the very end, he never stopped teaching and loving his family; passing on the courage to keep moving forward no matter the odds and faith that everything will be ok.

Armando leaves behind his 2 daughters, Sasha Perez, Katrina Perez; 3 sons, Miguel Nunez, Ramon Vasquez and Enrique Vasquez. He is lovingly called grandpa by, Meiya, Nala, Achilles, Isabella and Elianna. Known as brother to Edwin, Belinda, Aramis, Alex and Albert along with many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Rd., Watervliet, on Saturday, February 20, 2021 from 4:00 - 5:30 pm. A Memorial Service will be held at the funeral home at 5:30 pm. Military Honors will be held prior to the Memorial Service.

Gathering size within our chapels will be based on the most current NYS occupancy requirements. Masks are required and social distancing is to be observed inside and outside of our chapels.
