ALBANY - Arnold William Peter, Jr., 71, passed away on Thursday, January 4, 2007 at the Albany Memorial Hospital.
Arnold was born on June 2, 1935 in Albany and is the son of Beulah M. Folmsbee Haines and the late Arnold William Peter, Sr. He served in the US Army from 1958 to 1960, attaining the rank of Private First Class. He worked at Sears in shipping and receiving for many years. Prior to that he worked for Coulson's News and Variety in Albany and after Sears he worked at Albany News and Variety before retiring.
In addition to his mother, Arnold is survived by his son, Kevin M. Peter; his daughter, Michelle R. Peter; his brothers, Frank and Frederick Peter; and nephews, Daniel and Michael and niece, Mary Ruth.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday 11a.m. at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie (Rt. 155 – south of Central Ave.) Interment will follow at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery. Calling hours on Monday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to www.newcomerfamily.com
