Arthur C. Tenney, 94, passed away peacefully on May 17, 2013 in Green Cove Springs, Florida. Mr. Tenney proudly served with the United States Army during World War II; at the outbreak of the war he transferred to an ordinance company. As an ordinance truck driver he landed in Normandy D+3 and fought in St Loo, St Mare Eglise and the Ardenne Forest. After returning home he met his wife Doris and was married for over 54 years. Together they had one son, Arthur L.Tenney. Mr. Tenney was a mechanic by trade. He enjoyed cooking, baking, bowling, fishing and spending time with his family.
Mr Tenney was preceded by his wife, Doris; his sisters, Harriette, Eleanor, Laura, Mary Jane and brothers; Lawrence, Charles, Edward and Donald.
He is survived by his son, with whom he resided Arthur L. (Susanne), his step daughter Mildred Trombley, was the cherished grandfather of; Jennifer A Myers, Jonathan M. Tenney and Brian D Tenney, Debra Russman, Gary Green and adored great grandfather of Shawn , Heather and Shannan Smith and Brian D Tenney, Jr., Noah Tenney and Nicholas and Matthew Green. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Friday, May 31, 2013 at 10:00 am at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie. Calling hours will precede the service from 9:00 am to 10:00 am at the Funeral home. Interment will follow the service in Memory Gardens Colonie.
