COLONIE – Arthur E. Searles, 79, passed away on Saturday, January 12, 2013 at The Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital.
Arthur was born on December 10, 1933 in Troy and was the son of the late Arthur and Gladys (Goyette) Searles. He worked for Freihofer's Baking Co. in Troy for 32 years from 1966 to 1998 as a baker and shipper. After that he worked for McDonalds in Loudonville from 1998 to 2011.
Arthur is survived by his brothers, John Searles of Cohoes and Robert Searles of Brighton, MI; his sister, Gloria Searles of Mesa, AZ; his stepsisters, Kathy, Wendy and Gladys; his friend, Leonard Winn of Colonie and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. Interment will immediately follow at Memory Gardens in Colonie.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Mohawk and Hudson River Humane Society, 3 Oakland Ave., Menands, NY 12204 in memory of Arthur.
