COLONIE – Arthur G. Aleschus, 80, passed away on Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at Samaritan Hospital in Troy.
Arthur was born on March 30, 1933 in Albany and was the son of the late George G. and Edith (Cook) Aleschus. He served in the US Navy from 1952 to 1956. He worked as a supervisor and shipper for W.H. Smith Paper Corp. in Albany for 30 years, retiring in 1989. He then went to work for Shop N Save Market on Wolf Road in Colonie.
Arthur is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Mary P. (Delaney) Aleschus; his loving sisters, Eva Pocius, Betty Jane (Santo) Costanza and June Parshall and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. Interment will be held at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville.
Memorial contribution may be made to Community Hospice of Rensselaer, 295 Valley View Blvd, Rensselaer, NY 12144 in memory of Arthur G. Aleschus.
