Arthur Siebert, 92, of Guilderland passed away on December 26, 2017. Arthur was the loving and devoted husband of Ann Siebert. They were married for 63 years.
During World War II, Art served for 3 years aboard the USS Kennebec. The Kennebec was one of the ships that participated in the capture of the German submarine U505 in June 1944. Following his return home, he went to work for the New York Central Railroad. After their closing, he became a Teamster out of Local 294. He began his 33-year truck driving career with Associated Transport, Inc. He loved to travel with his wife and was proud that they had visited every state in America. He also traveled to Germany numerous times to visit family and friends.
He is survived by a son, Arthur F. Siebert, his son's loving partner, Kathleen Van Twyver, and two daughters Donna Banas and Linda McInerney.
His eldest daughter, Susan Paul predeceased him.
Funeral services will be private at the discretion of the family. The interment will be in the Saratoga National Cemetery.
