Ballston Spa – Arthur Ronald Taber, born to Helen (Kochem) and James Charles Taber on February 5, 1943, died Sunday February 28, 2010 at Saratoga Hospital due to complications of Diabetes.
Arthur was a graduate of the Schenectady School System and earned a certificate in Shelter Management from Cornell University. He spent a number of years on the maintenance staff at the Hallmark Nursing Home and fulfilled his working career when retiring from the General Electric Large Steam Turbine Generator Division with 26 years of service.
Arthur enjoyed hunting, especially big game. He successfully hunted deer, buffalo and the alike, on numerous hunting trips across the country.
He is survived by many cousins from the Mayo, Horstman and Kochem families.
The funeral service will be held Saturday 11:00am at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie. A calling hour will precede the service from 10:00am to 11:00am Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Memory's Garden Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Animal Protective Foundation, 53 Maple Ave., Scotia, NY 12302.
