Arthur C. Tanner

Loudonville- Arthur C. Tanner, 85, passed away Friday, April 13, 2018 with his loving family by his side. Art was the devoted husband to the late Elizabeth W. Tanner, who were married 38 years.

Art was employed by Terry-Haggerty Tire Company for 25 years before his retirement. After retirement, Art worked for Meals On Wheels and also at Albany International Airport. Art enjoyed collecting stamps, working in his garden and was an avid reader.

Art is survived by his daughter, Lisa and her husband, Michael Pitnell; his granddaughter, Kaitlyn Elizabeth and her husband, Jason Goodell.

Art is predeceased by his parents William and Emma Tanner, his brothers and sisters in law, Edward and Mary Flynn, William and Bert Flynn and Donald Tanner.

For the past several years he enjoyed the friendship of Christine Slingerland.

Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie, on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 1:00 pm. Interment will follow the service at Memory Gardens, 983 Watervliet Shaker Road, Colonie.
