GUILDERLAND - Ashley "Little Ashley" C. Holmes-Swirsky, 26, passed away suddenly on Sunday, January 6, 2013 at her home in California.
Ashley was born on May 1, 1986 in Albany and is the beloved daughter of Natalie (Campolungo) Holmes and the late Theodore J. Holmes. She was raised and educated in Guilderland, studied cosmetology and attended Hudson Valley Community College.
In addition to her mother, Ashley is survived by her loving husband, Joshua A. Swirsky; her loving sister, Briana N. Holmes; her loving grandparents, Neil and Mara Campolungo and Patricia and Theodore A. Holmes; her stepfather, Sheldon Collins and several loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Ashley was the beloved granddaughter of the late, Bernadette Campolungo.
Ashley loved to cook and enjoyed spending time with her babies (Kitties). She was a talented artist and very creative. Ashley was great with kids, loved tattoos, stars, trees, waterfalls, music, dancing, snowboarding and was always on the go. Her other nickname was Spitfire and those who met her always knew why.
A celebration of her life will be held on Sunday at 5:00 p.m. at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. Calling hours will precede the service from 2 to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 260 Osborne Road, Loudonville, NY 12211 in memory of Ashley.
