ROTTERDAM JUNCTION-Ashley Christine Warrick of Rotterdam Junction, NY died suddenly on May 3, 2015 from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident. Ashley's older sister, Cassandra Ann Warrick, was also involved in the accident and is currently in Albany Medical Center recovering from her injuries.
Ashley was born on July 20th, 1999 in Schenectady, NY to Katrina (JR Sonnenfroh)
Warrick (Dietrich) of Rotterdam Junction, NY and Shawn (Alexandra) Warrick of Carlisle, NY.
Ashley, a sophomore at Schalmont High School, was proudly part of the school chorus and Sabre Marching Band's color guard. She loved to sing and spend time with her family and friends. All will miss her sensitive nature, tender heart, and contagious laugh. Ashley was very proud of obtaining her first job as part of the front end staff with Price Chopper.
Ashley is survived by her loving parents Katrina and Shawn, her sister Cassandra and her younger brother Shawn. Ashley was a great big sister to Shawn, affectionately thought of as his second mother. She is survived by her cousin and best friend Abby Guidetti. She leaves behind many aunts and uncles, cousins and friends. Ashley will be forever missed.
Ashley was predeceased by her infant sister, Derah Warrick, her uncle Michael
Warrick, her grandmother, Theresa Bernard and maternal great grandparents Wanda Wells and Derah and John Dietrich. Ashley often thought of and missed her family members who went before her.
Calling hours will be Monday, May 11, 2015 from 4pm to 8pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie.
A funeral service will be held at 11 am at the funeral home on Tuesday May 12, 2015.
Interment will be at St. Josephs Cemetery, Schenectady.
