COLONIE- Audrey Place DeFelice, 90, passed away at home on Friday, March 2, 2018.
Audrey was born on December 13, 1927 to the late Joseph and Frances (Jenkins) Place in Millbrook, NY, and she was the devoted wife of the late Carmen Anthony DeFelice.
Audrey enjoyed reading, word puzzles and following her beloved NY Mets.
She was a Life Member of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Hudson Valley Volunteer Firemen's Association and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Shaker Road-Loudonville Fire Department, and she was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Firemen's Association of the State of New York, the Ladies Auxiliary of the Albany County Volunteer Firemen's Association, Inc. and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Hudson-Mohawk Volunteer Firemen's Association. She was also a longtime member of Pine Grove United Methodist Church.
Audrey is survived by her sons, Thomas and Robert (Sheila) of Colonie, and Charles of Hudson, MA, 10 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and her longtime friend, Pearl DePoalo and her family. Besides her parents and husband, Audrey was predeceased by her son, Carmen Andrew; daughters-in-law, Carol and Dawn, and her brother Andrew Place.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 from 4:00pm-7:00pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd., Albany, NY 12205. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 8, 2018 at 10:00am at New Comer Cremations & Funerals. Graveside services will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Colonie.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Audrey's memory may be made to the organization of one's choice.
