MENANDS - Audrey E. Bolton, 78, of Menands, died Saturday, January 5, 2008 at Albany Memorial Hospital after a long illness.
Audrey was born in Albany and was the daughter of the late Edward and Ethel Hart Stanton. She worked at Kresge's (now Kmart) for over 20 years, starting as a sales person and working her way to merchandise manager. She retired in 1969. She enjoyed cooking, baking, keeping house and she was one for waiting on you hand and foot. She also sold plants from the backyard greenhouse to the public and she spent many years taking care of her in-laws, the late Rhoda Bolton and James Bolton Sr. She was a member of Jerusalem Reformed Church.
Audrey is survived by her son, James E. Bolton of Menands; her sister, Joyce B. Stanton of McKownville; her nieces, Kathleen A. Stanton, Margaret A. (Dan) Kunkle and Barbara J. (Jeff) Ricciardi and her cousins, Ernie and Josephine Bazan. She was predeceased by her husband, James Bolton, Jr. who died in 2004; her brother, Edward G. Stanton and her sister-in-law, Katherine Stanton.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday at the Jerusalem Reformed Church, 1433 Indian Fields Rd. (Route 32), Feura Bush. Interment will follow at Memory's Garden in Colonie. Calling hours will be held at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie (Rt. 155 – south of Central Ave.) on Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m.
